My name is Mandy Beniac and I am an Instructional Designer. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and a Graduate's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an Endorsement in English as a Second Language. With these skills, I have been able to create different curriculum that aligns with standards, learning objectives, and close gaps in learnig.
I am currently enrolled in IDOL (Corporate Instructional Designers) Courses online. Here I have been able to improve my Instructional Design skills and be a part of a community of Instructional Designers. This helps me continue to be a lifelong learner!
I have been lucky enough to work at Inspirant Group, a 10Pearls Company. Here I helped work on their course Accelerator Leadership Academy. This course helps new leaders start with all the resources they need to be strong leaders.
As of now, I work with learners who are learning English. Here I run a needs analysis to see what their gaps are and track growth with various data points. When I am not working with learners, I am on a committee to help revamp the curriculum in our organization to enhance and engage learners and see higher growth.
I work hard to teach my colleagues about new research-based instruction through small presentations and one-on-one mentoring.
When I am off the clock at work, I enjoy being with friends and family. I like to go to the movies and be active like playing soccer, volleyball, or tennis.
When by myself, I enjoy reading a good book, watching TV, or learning something new like Spanish. I am also in a book club where we read Instructional Design Books and discuss how we can use this in our current or future projects.
I also enjoy cooking from one of my cookbooks! My favorite recipe is a grilled cheese made with two raisin cinnamon bread, white cheddar cheese slices, thin slices of apple, butter, and thin slices of onion. Do not knock it until you try it!
